আমাদের দেশে Bangladesh National Building Code(BNBC) বাস্তবায়নের কাজটি করে থাকে Ministry of Housing and Public Works.বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় বিল্ডিং কোড (BNBC) ১৯৯৩ সালে প্রথমবারের মতো ভবন নির্মাণ, নিয়ন্ত্রণ এবং নির্দিষ্ট মান ধরে রাখার জন্য প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল।
কোডটির উদ্দেশ্য হ’ল অর্জনযোগ্য সীমা, জীবন, অঙ্গ, স্বাস্থ্য, সম্পত্তি এবং জনকল্যাণে সুরক্ষার জন্য নকশাগুলি, নির্মাণ, উপকরণের মান, ব্যবহার ও পেশা, অবস্থান এবং ভবনের রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের জন্য ন্যূনতম মান প্রতিষ্ঠা করা। BNBC সর্বশেষ গেজেট আকারে প্রকাশিত বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় বিল্ডিং কোড (BNBC) হচ্ছে ২০২০।যেটি ২০২১ সালের ১১ ফ্রেবুয়ারি গেজেট আকারে প্রকাশ করা হয়।তার আগে গেজেট আকারে প্রকাশ করা হয়েছিল ২০০৬। এখন থেকে নির্মাণ বিধি হিসেবে BNBC 2020 ব্যাবহার করতে হবে।
