Donald Ervin Knuth (ডোনাল্ড ইরভিন নাথ) – an eminent American computer scientist and mathematician, and Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at Stanford University. Widely regarded as the “father of the analysis of algorithms,” he is the author of the multi‑volume work The Art of Computer Programming, which has become a definitive reference in algorithmic theory and practice. Knuth also created the TeX typesetting system, METAFONT, and pioneered literate programming using WEB and CWEB systems.
